Age of Ultron – Rumors

Alleged details have surfaced regarding the plot of The Avengers: Age of Ultron. I don’t really much care to know the plot in advance, but what’s important is that it starts right after the events in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Which I have not seen. Now I pretty much have to, and in fact I should have seen it before watching the finale of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. . It’s a good scam, Marvel making its Marvelverse all tied together with the show & the different movies. It makes people like me pay to see movies (like Captain America) in which we might otherwise have zero interest. But Joss has been in charge of ushering out (in?) all the so-called “Phase II” movies for Marvel, and so in fact he’s behind the entire thing. Thankfully, he makes it worth it. I may not have loved the 2nd Thor movie (not so much as the first, anyway) but I did love already knowing Lady Sif when she appeared on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. I don’t regret seeing Thor II (I just thought too much time was spent in battle & it was boring.)

According to Cinemablend.com, reporting on a tweet from Joss, Age of Ultron is halfway through production. That means it should be done by the end of summer, which means that Joss will be free to work on the next installment of Dr. Horrible! And that is more exciting to me than Age of Ultron. Although I loved The Avengers, and I’m really looking forward to the second one, I have to say that I favor his micro-budget films over the blockbusters. There are many reasons for this. I won’t go into them all. But just one is that I can watch them over and over on a smaller screen, whereas The Avengers really didn’t hold up for me after multiple viewings and without the huge screen and the 3-D. Thank you, Joss Whedon, for giving us Dr. Horrible and In Your Eyes and Much Ado About Nothing (and of course, above all, thank you for Buffy.)

Anyway, here’s a recap of what we know so far about Age of Ultron, not counting the rumors stated above. And here’s more info on the projected release date, cast, and other stuff.
